Frequently Asked Questions
What age can I dive from?
We take 8-11* year olds on a pool only experience to introduce
them to scuba diving.
12 year olds onwards can complete the PADI Open Water Diver,
Advanced Open Water Diver and most of the more specialist courses.
Professional Courses can not be started until you are 18 years
old.
Am I too old?
There is no upper age limit. You must be able to pass the medical
requirements and be fit to dive, however, most people under 70 and some
over can do this.
Do I need to be really fit?
No. The medical requirements are there to ensure you are fit
enough to dive. Click the Book a Course button for the
medical form.
What about swimming?
You must be able to swim and there is an assessment during the
scuba diving courses. If you can swim a few lengths, any style, and stay afloat in
water too deep to stand up in you should be fine.
*Under 12 year olds must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We cannot assist any minor with personal requirements such as
changing or using the toilet.
